What is the sous vide cooking method?

Restaurants are regularly offering their customers dishes cooked using the sous vide method. What is this method? Food, vacuum-packed in plastic bags, is placed in water in a pot and cooked at a precisely controlled temperature, usually much lower than during the traditional cooking of products. The cooking process is, therefore, longer because temperatures of 58/60°C for fish, 65/70°C for poultry, and 80/85°C for vegetables are used. So you have to schedule everything. The main advantage of this method is keeping the natural taste of the prepared product and its nutritional value. Vitamins and microelements remain in the food, not in the water. Importantly, by choosing this option, you can also decide not to use fat during cooking.

Equipment for slow cooking - Sous-vide Slow Cooker

Healthy cooking with this method, using your favorite marinades, herbs, and spices, is also possible in your homes. The product that we want to present to you is a device that facilitates setting the temperature from 20 to 95°C, which guarantees consistent cooking of food products. It is for pots with a minimum height of 15 cm or heat-resistant containers. It allows you to set the cooking time from 1 minute up to almost 100 hours. The device is made of water-resistant materials and has an automatic safety switch. The display shows the information in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit. The removable housing makes it easier to get to the heater and clean the device. It is a valuable addition to any kitchen.
