Shelly Plug S Gen3 is a compact smart plug with many built-in features, making it easy to smarten up floor lamps and appliances. The device has a 12A relay with a built-in power meter, allowing you to monitor your consumption and automatically turn off unnecessary standby power. With built-in scheduling and sunrise/sunset control, you can also automate all your devices. Shelly Plug S Gen3 is easily set up and controlled through the Shelly Smart Control app or your preferred Smart Home system. Shelly devices work 100% locally and only require a local network to operate. Shelly can be used alone in the Shelly Smart Control app or with more than 200 partner systems such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, Samsung SmartThings, Athom Homey, and many more. Shelly Plus Plug S is designed to be used in the building’s existing sockets, allowing for intelligent control of non-smart devices like floor lamps. It can also be used to eliminate standby power consumption on TVs, PlayStations, and similar devices, or to increase safety by automatically turning off the iron after a few minutes. If you just want to use the device to monitor the power consumption of appliances or similar, it is also possible to set a PIN code on Shelly Plug S to prevent accidental shutdown through the app. Shelly Plug S is equipped with a powerful LED ring on the front, which can visualize the amount of current energy consumption by switching between green, yellow, and red colors. The light can also be turned off or used as a night light when you or the children get up at night. Shelly Plug S can connect to the internet or the local network on 2.4 GHz WiFi. Additionally, the device has built-in Bluetooth like the rest of the Pro, Plus, and Gen3 devices, so it can also be used as a gateway for Shelly Bluetooth devices. Shelly Plug S works locally without connection to Shelly Cloud, but it is recommended to activate it for easy data storage and increased functionality. The device can also communicate via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket. The device is equipped with generation 3 hardware, which includes the powerful ESP-Shelly-C38F CPU with 8MB flash. This makes Shelly Plug S Gen3 future-proof and allows for scripting functions and virtual devices for advanced and customized functionality.
